Business assistant is a professional who is responsible for particular projects or certain operational areas of a company.

Business assistants provide limited administrative support to a boss only in issues directly related to the area of their concern. They usually compose, proof read and edit outgoing correspondence including letters, press releases, proposals and marketing materials and prepare bosses for meetings, providing all the necessary information.

The main responsibilities of a business assistant are to monitor and report weekly project statuses and estimates, assist in general project management, monitor cash flow, pay bills, assist with client billing, manage daily operations, assist with sales and marketing, keep track of RFP’s, help with bookkeeping, plan and execute activities and trainings.
